Alisa Hostetler is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arkansas. She received her Masters in Science at the University of Arkansas in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She enjoys working with adolescents, individuals, and families struggling with a wide range of issues, including grief, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective treatment for trauma. EMDR therapy is recommended by the World Health Organization and American Psychiatric Association for treating PTSD for all ages.
Alisa was born in Japan and moved to the U.S. when she was a teen. This big life change helped her become more empathetic, open minded, and accepting of all people. Alisa has traveled to different parts of the world, including India and the Caribbean, to be involved in community service.
